Aufgaben

We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented “Machine Learning Applications Service Engineer” to join the team of AI and Machine Learning R&D. In this position you provide 2nd level support to doctors, surgeons, and patients using our applications. You will also have a key role in creating the system and gathering the required tools for 2nd level support for medical machine learning applications on cloud (MS Azure) and on devices. This role involves close interaction with different teams and functions across different locations.

Your role:

  • Provide 2nd level support for ML applications in production on cloud, premise or on devices

  • Define the process and tools involved in providing 2nd level support for ML applications

  • Facilitate the end-user acceptance of the deployment of ML applications in production

  • Support MLOps with relaying feedback from actual users of machine learning applications in production and monitor the health of ML applications in production

  • Collaborate with the ML cloud infrastructure team on the service-related aspects of the infrastructure during the design and validation

  • Provide support for ML applications in staging, and pre-release studies

  • Define the requirements for continuously monitoring the technical and clinical performance of ML algorithms/applications

  • Provide support for continuous learning and continuous monitoring and collaborate with the R&D team


Profil
  • Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, informatics, biomedical engineering, or a related engineering field

  • 2 years of experience working as software developer, SW solutions engineer, MLOPs engineer, or DevOps engineer, service engineer in a dockerized environment

  • Hands on experience with setting up a production environment and configuring services in MS Azure platform

  • Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting

  • Experience with tools for quality management, and ticketing

  • Experience with MS Azure ML studio (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Machine learning (preferred)

  • Programming skills using Python (preferred)

  • Knowledge of databases and microservices is a plus

  • Ability to collaborate productively with a wide range of stakeholders

  • Fluency in English and German languages
