Consisting of Corporate Services and Real Estate (CSRE) and the Office of Global Security (OGS), our teams drive productivity and enable the firm’s flow of business while ensuring its safety and security. The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team’s mission is to support the firm’s ‘One Goldman Sachs’ strategy by proactively identifying, managing, monitoring and reporting key third party risks in order to enable and challenge the business’s risk-based decision making processes. The EMEA TPRM Regional Coverage team own the full program of EMEA regional TPRM activities including support of key stakeholders, working groups and committees within the region; execution of regulatory/transformation projects to ensure appropriate management of third party risk and compliance with new and existing supervisory requirements; coordination of mandatory annual regulatory reporting requirements and notifications; qualitative analysis and data/analytics driving business engagement and effective commercial outcomes.

This role requires extensive interaction with GSBE’s senior leadership team in order to drive change and to ensure effective outsourcing risk management practices are designed/executed in line with regulatory expectations.This Frankfurt based role will also have additional specific Responsibilities to serve as GSBE’s ‘Central Outsourcing Officer’ (in line with MaRiskAT 9.12 requirements).

How We’re Organized

  • Spend Management - Aligns all commercial advisory and risk management functions that drive operating efficiency. Departments include Product Finance, Strategic Sourcing, Third Party Governance, Procure to Pay and Infrastructure & Transformation.
  • Real Estate - Encompasses end-to-end strategic real estate work from transactions to facilities. Departments include Real Estate Strategy, Real Estate Development and Facilities.
  • Office of Global Security - Protects the people and assets of Goldman Sachs. Ensures a safe and secure environment through assessment of relevant risks to enable the delivery of effective security, fire and life safety protocols
  • Client Engagement - Reflects partnership with internal clients in developing and delivering world-class solutions for the firm. Departments include Document Management, Events, Hospitality and Travel.
  • CWS Engineering - Aligns all engineering functions integral to the successful performance of the division. Departments include Digital Workplace, Client & Production Engineering, Corporate Engineering, Spend, Data & Automation and Product Success & Delivery Engineering.
  • Divisional Management (COO) - Aligns division-wide functions to drive strategic cohesiveness, consistency and efficiency. Departments include Business Unit Management, Communications and User Engagement, Risk and Environmental, Social & Governance.


How You Will Fulfill Your Potential:

This Vice President level professional will work within TPRM’s EMEA regional coverage team driving effective outsourcing management practices across multiple business lines. The role also requires continuous and proactive GSBE senior stakeholder engagement in order to drive change and to ensure effective outsourcing risk management practices are designed/executed in line with regulatory expectations. Additionally, this Frankfurt based role also incorporates specific Responsibilities to serve as GSBE’s ‘Central Outsourcing Officer’ (in line with MaRiskAT 9.12 requirements). Key tasks will include:

  • Overseeing the documentation and execution of GSBE Outsourcing Policy requirements
  • Implementation and further development of appropriate outsourcing management and corresponding control and monitoring processes
  • Creation and maintenance of GSBE outsourcings documentation (including sub-outsourcings)
  • Support of GSBE’s internal and legal requirements for outsourcing
  • Coordination and review of GSBE’s outsourcing risk assessments
  • Serve as Secretary to GSBE’s Outsourcing Governance Group


Skills and Experience We Are Looking For:

  • Possess a strong risk management/control mindset linked with the ability to support the delivery of commercial outcomes
  • Ability to drive behavioural change across multiple business stakeholder groups
  • Experience in a risk management role, including third party risk / supply chain management, or a global risk program design and execution function
  • Experience and knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks; preferably in the context of third party risk and outsourcing
  • Experience in data analytics, data manipulation and visualization techniques
  • Highly organized; attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure
  • Analytical thinker, intellectually curious and able to quickly assess situations, prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong stakeholder management skills (including GSBE senior leaders, GSBE Board members and Regulators)
  • Confident candidate who is enthusiastic and a team player
  • Ability to coordinate and interact effectively with regional and global colleagues
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject or related role field (e.g., Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS Office knowledge, particularly MS Excel
  • Certification on any Busines Intelligence/Automation/Visualization tools (eg: Alteryx, QlikView, Tableau)
  • Risk Management Certification
